Igneous creates multimedia movement-based performances for the stage, screen and alternative spaces, as well as running forums, workshops and master-classes (including the "Movement Video Laboratory" for professional artists).
The company explores ideas of interaction, diversity and the re-examination of traditional values. Recurring themes include “skilfulness and clumsiness”, true stories, abstraction, details of daily life, and “the spectacular and the unspectacular”. Igneous is resolutely open to collaborations with other companies, and often works with artists and performers from a vast array of backgrounds.
