Founded at the Dakh Contemporary Art Centre by Vladyslav Troitsky (2004), DakhaBrakha have never forgotten their theatrical roots, transforming each concert into an engrossing performance bathed in light and sound.
As one of the leading lights of Ukrainian theatre, Vladyslav Troitskyi sets out to create “radical constructions”. He does so by bringing together disparate elements to create something entirely new, convinced that the melodies of Ukrainian folk music can be enriched and amplified by input from different styles and cultures.
