Pierre Étaix

The mime artist is awfully chatty, the diva seems lost and the clown is determined to have his own way... A delirious blend of circus performance and musical cabaret.

A blue butterfly beats its wings in the company of a presenter (whose memory and sight are both failing him), a Chinese magician (complete with two bowls of rice, three tomatoes and a magic wand) a flattened (grand) piano, a very talkative mime artist, a heavy-set woman who is supposed to be the cleaner but who seems to have found her voice without realising it, a curious jazz pianist, a bassist playing the drums, and a lovable clown who pays no heed to the orders and observations of his supposed master…
After forty years away from the theatre, and with that unmistakeable silhouette still intact at 80, Pierre Étaix returns to the stage with this show, an irresistible mix of mime, magic, jazz and music hall tradition. An opportunity for audiences to rediscover the endearingly crazy world and eccentric characters that only Pierre Étaix can conjure up.
