Emmanuel Vacca, director of Aria Teatro, enrolled at the École Marcel Marceau at the age of 17 and went on to work as assistant to the master himself. He then spent a decade as head of the school’s creative workshop. 21 years spent working with an artist of that stature cannot help but leave a deep, life-changing mark. A precise, virtuosic artist, Vacca’s inimitable creative universe is shot through with poetry and humour. A universe permanently oscillating between the spoken word and the actor’s physicality, steeped in the traditions of mime and Commedia dell’Arte.
