"Gardi Hutter is a graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zurich (now the ZHdK - Université des Arts), Switzerland.
In collaboration with Ferruccio Cainero, Mario Gonzales, Nani Colombaioni and the CRT - Centro di ricerca per il teatro, Milano, she forged her own clowning identity and artistic universe in Italy.
Since 1981 she has produced 9 original shows and toured theatres all over the world.
She has won a total of 18 prestigious awards in Switzerland and internationally. She also spent a season working with the Swiss National Circus, Circus Knie. To top it all off, she even had the honour of playing the role of “court jester” at the Swiss Parliament in Bern, during celebrations to mark the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation."
