In 1999, Matilda Leyser collaborated with several English and European companies (Circomedia, Fabrik Dance, Cimpagnie F/Z, Volcano Theatre Co, even in lyric productions) as a performer, choreographer and trainer.
In the early 2000s, she created her first shows, a blend of aerial acrobatics and physical theatre characterised by their intense dramatic power and great virtuosity. By transforming the expertise of acrobatics into an emotional and theatrical language, she succeeds in creating a powerful and innovative performance. Her aerial theatre is very close to perfection.
Matilda Leyser approaches aerial acrobatics no as a series of technical feats but rather as a means of creating images, creating an illusion.
