From the outset, this Catalan troupe has been closely associated with the world of the circus. Their theatrical language, visual perceptiveness and performance techniques have since evolved from classic clowning to a more contemporary vision. La Tal has succeeded in creating its own distinctive universe, where characters, aesthetics and narrative interweave and interact with their self-made scenery to create a thoroughly modern vision of visual humour. The near-total absence of spoken dialogue heightens the importance of this visual universe, establishing a language accessible and evocative to audiences from all horizons.
Since its inception, La Tal has created fifteen original shows which have been performed all over the world.
