"Off-the-wall, wacky, whimsical, surrealistic, burlesque: the terms used to describe the Belgian duo Tom Roos and Philippe De Maertelaere are numerous.
Wurre Wurre have audiences laugh in venues with gems such as Ruft, Patek, Tahiti, Don't wurre and The wurst of Wurre Wurre, as well as in the street performances Le chien, Les palmes, Les oiseaux and 1,2,3 hupla , featuring dogs, birds and even robots.
They also created several sketches for various TV channels.
In their repertoire we can distinguish the particularly absurd Belgian humour, reminiscent of Buster Keaton, Jacques Tati and Bolek Polívka.
Philippe De Maertelaere and Tom Roos have toured the world for over 15 years from Canada to Africa and from Japan to Australia, with the burlesque adventures of Wurre Wurre.
From 1998 until 2000 Wurre Wurre was the cultural ambassador of Flanders. "
