Le G. Bistaki
There are two tribes: the “Meta-Tiles” and the “Meton-Bags”. The former build and break things down to build them up again, with all of the organisational work that implies. The latter are only interested in having fun, without a care for tomorrow. Why bother? The Tilers will always be there to keep things going. A carefree attitude which allows them to live off the others’ hard work…
In this astonishing choreographic creation, Cooperatzia introduces the audience to the “Meta-Tiles” (men?) and the “Meton-Bags” (women?). In their latest travelling show, the members of G. Bistaki continue to explore new ways of exploiting the expressive power of objects (in this case they have opted to work with roof tiles and handbags). These objects play an integral role in their movements, costumes, staging and even the set design, transforming the dancer-jugglers into distinctive characters… In the process, the relationship between body, object and space gives rise to new situations, choreographies, videos, visual installations and dramatic possibilities.
