Signes de vie
“One day, an unknown poet sowed seeds in the form of character traits… For future generations to reap the writing.” Pierre Araoneanu, in his book Le Maître des signes, imagines an artist creating the world and mankind, who then go on to invent laughter, fear, war and power…
This idea is transposed to the stage using three overlapping forms of expression: the spoken interpretation of François Grange (who also directs), the dance and mime of hearing-impaired performer Claire Bonneton and the calligraphy of Chen Dehong.
The result is a performance imbued with grace and harmony, a collision of theatre and artists steeped in other interior horizons.
