Théâtre de Monzit

Yu Jin Gyu explores his fascination with body language and the European mime tradition.

In the quest to create his own artistic universe, informed by the rich cultural heritage of Korea, Yu Jin Gyu finds inspiration in the dialects of corporeal expression pioneered in Europe, not least by Étienne Decroux. The result is an intriguing new expression of the cultural and religious traditions of his native land.
Les mains vides is a solo piece soundtracked by four percussionnists, the fruit of the artist's personal artistic journey and European explorations.
