Compagnia Baccalà

A "bone of contention" that leads to a duo of acrobatic and poetic clowning.

A man, a woman, an apple, a stepladder that is both a friend and a traitor that cuts off heads, and love in search of itself. Did you know you can make music with a stepladder? "Pss Pss": an onomatopoeic invitation to share a secret or confide.
Fake beginners, fake bunglers, fake accidental fallings (in love), Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari embody two characters whose movements are derived from silent movies. Their magic formula? Certainly a subtle alchemy. Mute, stripped of red noses and giant shoes, they structure their acrobatics around frameworks whose poetry transports us. Like all talented people, the slightest excuse will do: an apple (basis for a curse), a stepladder, a trapeze, juggling, a few notes of music… Swinging between mime and extremely precise "micro-acrobatics", they float between a burlesque reality and a surrealist fantasy. Their eternal story of fusion fascinates us, their stunts are breath-taking, their fake failures buckle and sway. In a word, they mesmerize us, and the charm works for every generation.
Pss Pss has won twelve international prizes.
