Marie Wacker is a bilingual actress and graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Arts de la Marionnette, specialising in contemporary theatre.
Marie Wacker began her training with Le Samovar before spending spells with François Verret, Claire Heggen Yoshi Oïda, and Adel Hakim.
Well versed in the work of Grotowski and the improvisational methods of Ann Bogart, she is also fascinated with the works of contemporary authors such as Müller, Debors, Tsvetaava, Gatti, etc..
Her grounding in object theatre and puppetry comes from working first-hand with N. Naoumov (St Petersburg Academy), S. Baillon, P. Blaise, C. Dancoisne, M. Montefusco, J. Babin and more. She was also a member of the Clastic Théâtre Laboratory, taking part in the creation of Des vers et des vers and participating in François Lazaro’s Un p'tit coup de théâtre?.
Her work also includes teaching (puppetry and video) and directing (mask theatre with Déclic Théâtre).
