Là Où Théâtre is an association bringing together a diverse array of artistic identities in the pursuit of a single goal: to explore the outer limits of “contemporary” puppetry.
Fundamental to this approach is the use of puppets as a means of cross-fertilising different disciplines from the visual arts (visual and audio installations etc.) and performing arts (theatre, dance, puppetry, circus and more). 
As designers, directors, puppeteers and performers, Renaud Herbin and Julika Mayer exchange roles and ideas in the creation of each new project. 
They also work in close collaboration with fellow creators in the performing arts, as well as running workshops and classes at the University of Rennes 2, the TNB institute and elsewhere.
Julika Mayer and Renaud Herbin also run regular workshops for women serving custodial sentences.
